I run my own 3 node HA Kubernetes cluster at home to learn more about Kubernetes, Linux, Networking, Storage, Security, and all the other things that come with it.
The “rack” is built from a wooden pallet I decided to recycle! Below are the specs of my cluster:
- An old Acer laptop, Intel 4770HQ - i7 , 16GB Memory, 250GB SSD + 500GB SSD + an extra 1TB HDD which is used as NFS
- 3x HP Elitedesk 800 Gen 2, Intel 6700T- i7, 32GB, 240GB SSD + 3TB HDD (Ceph is running on these)
- Raspberry PI 3 b+, 1GB RAM, 16GB micro-SD (running Pi-hole) (A display that shows CPU/RAM/Disk usage of the PI, just to add more flashiness. no real value)
- NETGEAR ProSAFE GS108E Managed Switch - 8 Ports
I love to talk about this and my other projects, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
In the past few years I’ve been actively developing GenAI based solutions and helping PostNL and other companies to use GenAI wherever it fits.

How can Mad help me and my company?
I can help you with many things. For example:
- Building a new product from scratch if you have a business idea but don’t know the technical side.
- Migrating your monolith to microservices.
- Migration to the cloud (AWS).
- Adopting Serverless architecture.
- Helping your company use GenAI.
- Scaling up your application to handle more users.
- You name it!
Unlike the photos of me presenting slides on this page, I like actually DOING things and not only talking about doing things! So instead of giving you 200 slides on how to do something, I can give you 4 slides and then just sit down and build things together with you. You know, make things!
